Bottle Upcycler

For a class called Principles of Engineering I took during the fall 2013 semester, we were challenged to build a working system that incorporated non-trivial software, electrical and mechanical components. My team built an mechanized glass bottle cutter that took used glass bottles and cut them right below the neck for potential use as drinking glasses. I worked on many aspects of the mechanical design and fabricated all non laser-cut machined parts on the mill and lathe.
